I’m on page 8 of my midterm exam. Only 6 more pages to go until I’m done. Oh, and I have like 4 other projects I need to work on too…and I’m still recovering from being sick.
I’m pretty sure I’m going to need a real vacation after this. Is it December yet?!

Born Oct. 17, 1918, Margarita Carmen Cansino was a dancer whose talent helped her dance her way into film screens where she soon became known as Rita Hayworth.
Hayworth, who was known as ‘The Love Goddess,’ worked primarily for Columbia Studios and was best known for films such as Blood and Sand, Pal Joey, Gilda and The Lady from Shanghai.
Sadly, Hayworth was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease in 1980, which contributed to her death on May 14, 1987.
Do you have a favorite Rita Hayworth film? 🎦 💄

This is how I’m feeling right now. I’ve been busy running around and helping everyone else out while trying to find the time to work on my homework/studies. I guess it was inevitable I’d get sick.

Eleven years ago today, Duran Duran’s 12th album/CD, Astronaut, was released. The album includes the songs “(Reach Up For The) Sunrise,” “Astronaut,” “Nice” “and “Whatever Happens Tomorrow.”
Here’s one of my favorite songs off the album.

On Oct. 10, 2005, the Anaheim-based band No Doubt released their third album/CD, ‘Tragic Kingdom.’ The first single off the album was “Just A Girl,” then followed by my personal favorite, “Spiderwebs,” then by “Sunday Morning” and “Don’t Speak.”
I’ve never had the opportunity to see the band perform live. Guess I’ll just add this onto my bucketlist!
In the meantime, please enjoy this tune!
I was driving home from an appointment earlier this week when I heard this song on the radio. I’ve always loved this tune because it reminds me of my childhood…specifically when my parents, siblings and I drove the same route–as seen during the freeway sequence–every year to visit my mother’s family in Southern California. ♫ ♥ ♪
