Here’s another favorite Christmas song of mine, starring the likes of Sting, Boy George, Duran Duran, Bananarama and numerous other singers and musicians. 😀 ❤
After Tuesday’s presidential election, I felt disillusioned, shocked, sad and angry. The results were NOT what I had expected. I’m hoping by listening to Duran Duran–specifically this song–it will help me remain optimistic about our country’s future. 🙁 🙂
But nobody knows what’s gonna happen tomorrow
We try not to show how frightened we are
If you let me – I’ll protect you – however I can
You’ve got to believe it’ll be alright in the end
You’ve got to believe it’ll be alright again
This video is dedicated to my Soul Sister No. 1 and good friend, Luz M., whose birthday is today. We met as high school sophomores and instantly became friends when we found out that we loved the same music and bands! 😀 ❤ ♏
Happy Monday! Enjoy! 😀
Happy Birthday to one of my favorite drummers…Roger Taylor from Duran Duran! 😍 🎵 🎶
In honor of Earth Day and Flashback Friday. Have a great weekend! 😀 🎶 🎵 🎸 🎤 🎹
I’ve had a lot on my mind lately. Trying to balancing everything has gotten difficult at times, but somehow I’ve managed. I pray for continued faith and that God continues to watch over my loved ones. 🙏 😇
Here’s another classic Christmas song, “Do They Know It’s Christmas?” sung by the charity supergroup Band Aid, which consisted of a group of well-known British and Irish musicians and singers, including members from Duran Duran, George Michael from Wham!, members from Bananarama, Spandau Ballet, Culture Club and U2, Phil Collins, Jody Watley, Paul Young and many others.
In 1984, Band Aid was founded by singers Bob Geldof and Midge Ure in order to raise money for anti-poverty efforts in Ethiopia.
Happy Birthday to musician, lyricist and Duran Duran lead vocalist Simon Le Bon, who also happens to be one of the greatest Pop singers ever! 🎵 🙂
