I’m pretty bummed I’m not going to get an opportunity to see Jeff Lynne’s ELO (Electric Light Orchestra) perform in L.A. next weekend. 😦 It’s been about 30 years since Lynne performed in concert, which gives you an idea as to how infrequently he tours. The original ELO has been on my Concert Bucket List since I first heard their music on the Xanadu film soundtrack. 🙂

Born On This Day: Barry Gibb
Happy 70th Birthday to singer, songwriter, musician and record producer Barry Gibb!
Song Sunday: Richard Marx
The second concert I attended as a teen was to see Richard Marx perform live near my hometown. He’s one of the few musicians I admire for his songwriting and his voice. 🙂
Song Sunday: Depeche Mode
This song has always been one of my favorites. Hoping one day the band will reunite because they are on my concert bucket list to see perform live. 🙂
Flashback Friday: The Bee Gees
Yesterday I heard this song on the radio and it reminded me of how much I love this band! 🙂
Have a great weekend!
Flashback Friday: The Moody Blues
Enjoy and have a great weekend! 😎
Song Sunday: The Monkees
I’ve always liked the song “For Pete’s Sake” by The Monkees. Peter Tork wrote this tune during the comedy series’s heyday. Micky Dolenz performs lead vocals on the recorded version, but Peter now takes the reins whenever the song is performed in concert.
The lyrics, “We were born to love one another, this is something we all need,” pretty much resonates with what’s been happening in the world today. 😦 We need to see less hate and seek more love and peace.
Flashback Friday: Q-Feel
I believe the best decade for music was the 1980’s. The song “Dancing in Heaven (Orbital Be Bop)” by Q-Feel was used in the Girls Just Want To Have Fun film soundtrack. 😀
I’m sure some of you will also recognize a few familiar faces in this video (i.e. film). Enjoy! 😉
Flashback Friday: John Parr
Thirty-one years later, this song still holds up. 🎥 🎶 🎸 🎤
Flashback Friday: Olivia Newton-John
You know, there are always going to be those songs you love listening to, but never want to admit to it…sort of like a guilty pleasure. Well, this is one of those songs!
Enjoy and have a great weekend! 😉
