I recently had a friend reach out to me twice in the last two weeks because she knew I was going through a family crisis. She wanted to be there for me and although I told her that “she didn’t have to,” she made it perfectly clear that she wanted to be there. Well, in the end, guess who wasn’t there for me? 🙄

The above quote perfectly sums up how I’ve felt when a friend or acquaintance says they’ll be there for you and to no surprise, they’re NO where to be found. 😠
