‘Wonder Woman’ TV Series Turns 40

On Nov. 7, 1975, a television pilot aired on ABC-TV called The New, Original Wonder Woman, which centered around an Amazon warrior princess named Diana Prince, portrayed by the beautiful and talented Lynda Carter.

Diana Prince, who’s also known as Wonder Woman, leaves Paradise Island with Major Steve Trevor (portrayed by Lyle Waggoner) to return him back to America. Prince’s alter ego, Wonder Woman, fights all likes of evil with her golden belt (the source of her power and strength) and lasso, and bullet-deflecting bracelets, and transports herself in her invisible jet.

The show ran for a total of three seasons: the pilot and Season 1 aired on ABC-TV, while Seasons 2 and 3 aired on CBS-TV. The last Wonder Woman episode aired on Sept. 11, 1979. 📺  🙂
